LED Technology
The rear markers, brake lights and turn signal lights are all illuminated using Light Emitting Diodes. LEDs illuminate instantly, and they use less energy and last significantly longer than standard light bulbs. Good for safety and the environment.

PDC
The Park Distance Control system uses ultrasonic sound waves and sensors in the rear bumpers, which are activated when your Eos is shifted into reverse, with the ignition on. It also includes a Trunk Lid Assistant function which monitors a distance of about 20 inches behind the Eos, to ensure that the roof has enough space for opening and closing. This function operates independently as soon as the trunk lid is released.

Rain-sensing Wipers
With rain-sensing wipers, you don’t have to worry about controlling the speed of the wipers in the rain, they’ll take care of it for you. A small sensor in the windshield detects how much water is obstructing your vision. And, since Mother Nature can change her mind quickly, these wipers adjust their speed automatically.

AFS
Adaptive Front Lighting comes standard with your Eos’ Bi-Xenon™ headlamps and actually turns the headlamp up to 15 degrees in the direction you’re headed while cruising at freeway speeds. At slow speeds, AFS turns an additional bulb in the direction you’re turning with the flick of the blinker.

Diversity Antenna
An antenna system which has 2 physical antennae. Whichever antenna has the stronger signal for any given channel is used as the receiver, making sure you get the best reception possible.

Independent Suspension
Independent suspension provides handling, control and ride benefits. Since each wheel is able to pivot and be suspended separately from all other wheels, it creates a nice, smooth ride in your VW.

Integrated Mirrors
The side view mirrors have the blinkers built right into them. This helps to make your VW safer because it clearly signals vehicles to the left or right of your VW when you’re turning or changing lanes. And as an added bonus, it’s easier for the driver to spot when you’re driving with your blinker on.

Anti-intrusion Beams
VW uses steel reinforcements in the doors which are designed to absorb and redirect impact energy upon a side impact – basically creating a steel cage to protect passengers.

Heated Washer Nozzles
What good are washer nozzles if they are frozen closed? Your wiper nozzles on your VW can heat up to keep ice from forming over them.

Auto-locking Doors
Once a VW hits 8 miles per hour, the doors automatically lock. This helps to keep the passengers safe inside the cabin of the VW. Just pull the handle twice to unlock the doors, or hit the unlock button.

The Multi-Function Indicator is a trip computer that not only tells you things like outside temperature, engine temperature and how far you’ve traveled, it will even let you know how much farther you can travel based on the amount of fuel in the tank. Perfect for people who mix up their “E” and “F”.

CLIMAtronic™ A/C
VW’s climate control system that automatically controls the cabin temperature. Once the user sets the desired temperature, CLIMAtronic™ takes over to maintain that temperature, regardless of fluctuations in the outside air temperature. CLIMAtronic™ also allows the driver and passenger to set their own desired temperature, creating 2 custom climates. Hey, “shotgun” deserves some control too.

4 Cup Holders

DSG
It’s a completely automatic transmission when you want it to be. But, it’s also an F1 race-inspired transmission that shifts in just 2/10s of a second when it’s time to have some fun.

Lane Change Feature Blinker
With the VW Lane Change Feature, all you’ve got to do is tap the blinker once in the direction of your choice when changing lanes, and the blinker will blink 3 times all on its own. Smart blinker.

Immobilizer III
Part of the theft deterrent system, this system will allow the vehicle to start if a key with the appropriate digital coding is inserted into the ignition. If anything without that coding is inserted into the ignition, the immobilizer disables the ignition and your VW cannot be started.

Lower Anchors and Tethers for Children
Lower Anchors and Tethers for Children is a standardized child-safety anchor system, which makes it easier for parents to install a child safety seat in their VW the correct way.

Easy-entry
When it’s time for a passenger to hop into the back seat, the easy-entry power function on the driver’s seat works by just pressing a button, which slides the seat forward all on its own, leaving plenty of room for the passenger to enter. Press the button again to return the driver’s seat to its normal position.

The available Dynaudio stereo features 10 high-end speakers (4 tweeters, 2 mid-range and 4 woofers) and 600 watts. It’s even got Digital Sound Processor (DSP) technology built in. Wind noise has no chance to be heard.

In conjunction with the ABS, ASR and EDL systems, plus additional sensors, the Electronic Stability Program helps the driver maintain their intended course during evasive maneuvering, like avoiding an accident, by applying brake pressure to specific wheels.

Brake Pad Wear Indicator
VW thought it would be polite to let you know that your brake pads are almost worn away before they’re gone completely and they possibly damage your brake rotors. Thus the indicator.

Your VW navigation system comes preset with your home address programmed in, allowing you to find directions from your home to just about anywhere on the planet. It even allows you to program stops into your trip, in case you want to pick up some Chinese food on the way home.
